B i o g r a p h y

I started my interest in Drumming around the age of 11 or 12 In Massachussetts beating on basketballs and assorted tupperware products until after 2 years doing it, my parents figured I wasn't going to stop-so they convinced my Grandfather (who was a Jazz and Big Band Drummer) to break his kit out of retirement and let me have it.

I began learning how to play along with Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and most of the NWOBHM.  Then I discovered Rush and it changed my whole view about drumming. I became obsessed with Neil Peart.. Learning Moving Pictures, and then going back to older albums by Rush (Hemispheres, Permanant Waves, Farewell to Kings),  It really was an education in Taste, Composition, as well as restraint.

By 16 I was playing in my first Original band doing small clubs and parties, and cementing what I wanted to do with my life....Rock and Roll.

By 17-18 I helped form The Metal Band Hammersmyth. This band quickly got management and I found myself playing and touring with bands like Extreme, Femme Fatale, Savatage, Dream Theater, Armored Saint, Crimson Glory, Black Crows, and many more..

I studied privately with Mike Mangini from Dream Theater.

My tastes expanded to include Jazz, Industrial, World Music, and even some Musicals that were interesting to me.

I moved from MA to Philadelphia in 2001 and proceeded to immerse myself in the scene there, connecting with some great producers  playing and recording in many different types of bands, Touring around the U.S. and eventually securing the Musical Director postion in a Major Rock/Burlesque show in Atlantic city NJ.
